Quinn Reveals Her Soft Side, Will it Work?

We added each campaign's finances to the rankings this week.  They get a point for every $100,000 raised and lose a point for the same amount spent in recognition of how powerful a role money plays in the campaigns.  The week's highlights included Christine's revelations about her struggles with alcoholism and bulimia, which were mostly met with cynicism, Democratic club endorsements, and various forums.  This week's installment of the "New York City Mayoral Candidates Power Standings (or something like that)" sees John Liu holding on to the top spot as he snags several endorsements.  All of last week's greatest moments are recorded and tallied up to see who really leads in the race to be crowned King (or Queen) of New York.  We will also be incorporating some of your recommended point allocations from the previous week.  We had dropped Malcolm Smith after his arrest from the rankings as we thought his campaign had ended before he even bothered to announce.  He has recently indicated that he is not interested in the job.

Adding finances to this was genius. I can’t believe the mayor’s job is something that costs over $5 million to buy.

I am starting to appreciate Liu’s bouts of self-deprecation. But deep back in my mind, I know that those are the ways of a career charlatan.
