Prosecuting the Presidential Candidates

Prosecutors are the stars of the campaign this week as they are looking into everything and pressing charges left, right, and center.  Fillon's suits are even being investigated.  This coming Monday however, the candidates will get a chance to reclaim the spotlight from all these Clouseaus as they get to debate each other.  This week's installment of the 2017 French presidential candidates power rankings sees Emmanuel Macron holding on to the top spot. French Cuisine Meets French Politics

While Fillon struggles to keep his campaign alive while authorities raid his place, Macron is turned into a macaron with the introduction of some egg on his face.  Le Pen on the other hand has troubles of her own with the European Union she abhors, as they just lifted her parliamentary immunity.  Judging by the progress of these campaigns, we may have several candidates in jail by the time the French people get to elect their next president.  C'est la vie as the French would say.  This week's installment of the 2017 French presidential candidates power rankings sees Emmanuel Macron holding on to the top spot. The Leaders of the Existentialists

The French are choosing a new president this year, and their race has become as wild, if not more so, than our recent presidential election.  Leave it to the French to always try and upstage us.  We had the Revolutionary War, they had to follow us 13 years later with whatever it was that the French Revolution was with its Reign of Terror, the guillotine, and the plague that torments the non-American world that is the metric system.  These French revolutionaries were so bold that they also developed a metric calendar, LOL.  Anyway, getting back to the present, their presidential candidates are so steeped in controversy that they'll make our elections look sane and reasonable.  Their two leading candidates are accused of corruption, another has his party refusing to support him, while a fourth looks forward to the leading candidates having a calamitous fall, and a fifth wants France not to be submissive as best we can tell as he founded a party that goes by the fetishistic name of "Unsubmissive France."  This week's installment of the 2017 French presidential candidates power rankings sees Emmanuel Macron at the top spot.
