Much has been said about pressure cookers the past several days. But what if you are in the market for one for um, its intended purpose of cooking food? Well, you will have to deal with people staring at you as if you are some kind of homicidal maniac, and then endure a background check at checkout. We cannot help you there. But here is a wonderful little video that helps you choose the best option for cooking food.
When I initially searched for "pressure cooker" in YouTube's search bar, it returned a variety of bomb videos, conspiracy theories, and some videos on cooking. Anyway, after watching the folks at America's Test Kitchen test pressure cookers, I learned some things I did not know before. Not all of them attain the pressure they say they do, defeating the purpose of a pressure cooker and thus having to continue cooking for longer than you planned. They also seem to be more trouble than they are worth. I guess those people that are leering at you when you buy this "cooking appliance" must be on to something.
