Ties Tied to Today
Every weekday we bring you Live at Five in Five, a series that highlights the most noteworthy events of the day in our fair City.
Ties. They make all the difference in the world. Some people tie each other up in an embrace of love, while others wear ties as a symbol of authority. Some like to tie others for reasons like cannibalism, robbery, and even to get someone to just shut the fuck up already. Today was a day of ties in New York.
Two wealthy Upper East Siders were caught kissing this morning. The act inspired a poem.
Cooking, dining, and fashion magazine The New York Times also pointed out that NYPD officers wear clip-on ties. LOL.
The cannibal cop case yielded another culprit. The cannibal cop planned to tie the victim's hands and bare feet before he delivered her to his client.
A cop escaped from being handcuffed with zip ties, not clip-on ties, to thwart an armed robber.
A passenger on a plane bound to JFK was tied to his seat with tape because he was drunk and belligerent. Picture included in the link. Let us fly the friendly skies.
