Each week on The Other Talking Heads we present an overview of the discussions held on "The McLaughlin Group." We also keep track of the "experts" and have a running tally of how frequently they are wrong.
The Group discussed the Petraeus affair, Benghazi, Susan Rice's potential nomination to Secretary of State, and the fiscal cliff negotiations. The episode did not have many humorous or contentious moments.
The sad truth is that if you are rich and powerful in America, you get multiple chances at redeeming yourself. Sometimes you are even rewarded. Granted, the offense here is predominantly a personal one, but still.
Paul, Pat, and Eleanor seem to think that no agreement will be reached on the fiscal cliff issue before the end of the year. And it is about time the progressive wing of the Democratic Party fianlly stood up and said something.
Forced prediction this week. No previous predictions were verifiable this week.
